Perhaps you are beginning to realize that this book is about counter-intuitive thinking and disrupting what people think.
How is it possible to work at Statistics Canada with a grade 10 level of math? You are about to find out.
My father was absolutely brilliant with math. He won awards at school. My sister got math. My two brothers did well in math. Unfortunately, the math gene was not passed on to me. I was relatively poor, and it was highly frustrat- ing. I couldn’t pass a math test to save my life. I finished the minimal amount I had to take to graduate high school. The highest level I took in math was grade 10.
The education system was basically produced to create factory workers. That was the whole gist of the system. When the industrial age started, we had factories. The question was “What are we going to do with future factory workers?”
It was decided that we would build a school system where people come; they sit in a box. Then, they will answer when they’re spoken to. They will do what
