CHAPTER 7
Right now, visually impaired people are in a grey zone. They’re not entirely ignored, but there’s nothing to help them. Many lose hope because they com- plain that no jobs or careers exist.
I don’t focus on a job and a career. I focus on abilities and natural talents. We’re all born with a natural talent. We sometimes discover them because we want to or we’re pushed. This is what happened to me. In my case, I had to find a talent that I could use to make money with it. This is the foundation that I would create.
I want to get more into real estate. That’s one thing I love because it involves being with people. And last but not least, I want to become a well-established international motivational speaker. I see my progressive blindness as a bless- ing today because I was able to change my life and help other people. It has given me meaning and purpose.
My favourite quote is by Helen Keller. She said; The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.
