SORRY, WE’RE NOT HIRING ANY VISIONARIES TODAY
ANDREW: Yes, absolutely.
They gather and contextualize before moving forward. The trap for these types of people is failing to understand that no matter how well they have gathered and contextualized, they have not taken everything into ac- count, so they still need to move ahead with a degree of caution.
MICHAEL: Now, I want you to do the same thing for me, and just read the fact- finding part.
ANDREW: Michael, your best way of gathering and sharing information is to explain. You might paraphrase reports, review the data, edit the details, and work within priorities. You start with the highest probability. You use terms properly, respond appropriately, test analogies, clarify specifics, rewrite and fact-check written material.
This is generally correct, however, if something is important enough, people with less “Fact, Find, and Follow-through” can find another way to gather and contextualise; if they have Quick Start, they can use that. Repeating the same exercise will be a problem. However, where there’s a will, there’s a way — it is the price that is often the impediment.

So, that’s where I can see tension arising in terms of criticisms. I’d say, “We’re just going to get a booth and put on a show!” You’re like, “Well, let’s
