So, if you’re in the weeds, you’re in a very small specific thing that you’ve got to detail, you need that because if that piece of equipment won’t fit the truck, and the truck’s got to move, and I’m saying, “Well, we’ll just fig- ure it out.”
ANDREW: Definitely. If there’s one saying I live by, it’s “the devil’s in the de- tails”, because, without the details, you’re on the fast track to hell, where you’ll soon meet the devil himself.
MICHAEL: My attitude is the devil might be in the details, but, we’ll deal with that devil, and we’ll figure a workaround for it. It’s the thing that has to happen, and you’re preventing me from getting this going, and I get that we need to be accurate for certain things, but the whole attitude I’m taking is: we’re freaking doing this.
Where there is a will, there is a way — it is the price that is often the im- pediment.
ANDREW: Yes, and that’s why I think the world needs both visionaries and executioners, of which I am the latter.
Andrew can be a Visionary — it is just the way that he goes about it that is different.
MICHAEL: Yes. On to the next score: follow through. Your thing is to system- atize. You love systems, creating a plan, coordinating the needs, and charting the logistics; you integrate past, present, and future. You can see the patterns, understand the need for sequential systems, bring focus and closure, and or- ganize information and materials. That’s you, right?
ANDREW: Yes, in fact, the data migration project I’m working on now is a good example. It involves moving an entire website and its various com- ponents and workflows from one system to another. It’s a complex website of
