MICHAEL: How would you say I’m different from you?
ANDREW: You’re much more social and outgoing than me. I was very shy growing up. I remember that you had girlfriends long before me. You were al- ways a very popular, outgoing, and very active guy, whereas I was much more introverted and not as active. I prefer solitude, but you like being around others and interacting with them. I can do that, but it’s much more of an effort — it comes to you naturally.
This description is about how Andrew relates to others, how he thinks and feels, and his personality.
MICHAEL: Do you remember a time when I did something absolutely crazy, and you thought, “Oh my God, my brother’s nuts?”
ANDREW: I remember us both being staff at an overnight summer camp. I was working in the office, and you were a counsellor. You used to take your campers out on night maneuvers, which I just thought was crazy. I thought, how’s he even allowed to do that? I also remember another time when you were on our frozen pool in winter and nearly fell through the ice — that was pretty scary.
I remember thinking that if you wanted to do something, you just did it, things that I wouldn’t think of or consider doing. I’m a “colour within-the- lines person,” whereas you’re more of a “screw the lines” person.
